Altmetrics
Lecture by Oliver Renn
Altmetrics are alternative bibliometrics to measure the impact of scholarly output, aiming to remove the emphasis from traditional impact metrics such as the journal impact factor or the h-index. Altmetrics include, for instance, citations on Wikipedia, mentions in research blogs, or coverage in mainstream media. In this lecture, you can learn all about the benefits of altmetrics for you as a researcher.
